Well what a great confession! Paul, I have been reading your articles for years and love your direct style. I also agreed with most of your predictions and your views which let me to quote you in one of my books - 'Democracy true a Human Federation'.

That's why I was so disappointed when I learnt you became a Trump supporter. You are not the only one to make such an error in judgement. The root of that is seeing complex problems in black and white categories. The best example is the election of Trump 1.0. His opponent was Hillary Clinton. She was not a brilliant candidate as neither was Kamala Harris. But neither of these two women would have brought the world and our civilization to the brink of collapse at the time when the threat of AI as an existential risk has to be tackled immediately. I know that the American economy and the society does not operate efficiently. But efficiency, which seems to be Trump's and Musk's obsession, is not the same as effectiveness. Anyway, I am glad that you changed your view, and even more importantly that you admit it so openly and with such an honesty. That's why I will keep reading your articles.
